Just wanted to send a friendly reminder that MSA testing is this week! Students need to be in the classroom, ready to test by 8:55. Students who are late to testing will not be able to enter the testing room that day. They will have to make-up that day's sessions at another time.

Stay tuned for information regarding changes to the schedule because of weather!

Congratulations to our very own Zackary Fiscus for winning the Martin Luther King, Jr. Award for Urbana Elementary School! Students were nominated based on actions and character traits that represent those of Dr. King. Zack was selected from a pool of 5th graders as an individual who stands up for others and always does what is right. We are so proud of him!

Zack will be honored at a ceremony at TJ High School on Tuesday, January 15 at 7 pm. Our UES chorus will also be performing. For more information go to the FCPS websiteHope to see you there!

We had such a great time at our Fall Festival! Thank you again to Mrs. Nguyenkhoa who organized and hosted the event! And thank you to Mr. Nguyenkhoa for taking these fantastic pictures!

As part of American Education Week, students at Urbana were asked to discuss why they loved our school. Mrs. Day's Dudes created short powerpoint presentations to display their thoughts.
